Skoolbag App Update to Download
Skoolbag is updating! The new ‘single’ app will give parents more control over how and when you receive notifications. The app is no longer individually tailored for each school – the user can choose which school they see information from as part of the registration process. Users can select multiple schools, within the one app from which to receive notifications. The new app requires you to download it from the App Store or the Google Play Store. This new app can be used immediately. Instructions for download can be accessed here. Canberra Trip 2017
On Saturday 9 December 2017, 43 excited Year 9s and four teachers set off for a whirlwind tour of Canberra. The trip provided an invaluable opportunity to participate in a variety of activities, with a focus on Australia’s history, culture, heritage and democracy. From the very first minute we set foot in Canberra, it was a whirlwind of action. We could almost smell the adrenalin at the AIS, brushing shoulders with future Olympians (maybe) before taking a walk back in time at the National Dinosaur Museum. The following day was dedicated to the exploration of our democracy, with visits to the Museum of Democracy, The Australian Electoral Commission and Parliament house. Golden Grove High School is proud of the excellent results achieved by our Year 12 students and Year 11 students who studied a Stage 2 subject in 2017. Science Investigation Awards at GGHS
Food and Fibre Education SA Science Investigation Awards Preliminary Finals. On Friday 18 August, 150 students from Years 8-12 will participate in the preliminary final of the Food and Fibre Science Investigation Awards. They will be vying for a place in the semi-finals and ultimately the state finals to be held at the Royal Adelaide Show which will determine the state champions. This competition is designed to boost student interest and participation in Science. To proceed to the semi-finals, students will have designed and completed an investigation as well as prepared a report and poster. Students will need to clearly articulate their findings and the implications of their findings to the judges who will be community and industry representatives.
