Principal's Welcome
To Golden Grove High School

We provide a caring and engaging learning environment and deliver outstanding educational services. Our school values of Respect, Equality, Pride, Integrity and Resilience are the foundation for all of our interactions with our school community. Our success is enhanced through positive partnerships between staff, students, parents and the community.

Golden Grove High School was established in 1989, with outstanding facilities and curriculum opportunities for students from Year 8 to 12 (Year 7 to 12 from 2022). In 2022 we will officially open all of the buildings from the $15.5 million Capital Works project. This includes the 2 storey Middle School Building for Year 7 and 8 students, the Performing Arts Centre (Dance and Drama) and the Year 12 Study Centre.

At Golden Grove High School, we are committed to providing challenging, dynamic, relevant and engaging curriculum, which promotes life long learning and produces responsible, resilient, independent critical thinkers and learners who act ethically and confidently in their personal, career and community life. Wellbeing is essential for effective learning and is deeply embedded in both our pastoral and academic learning programs.

Golden Grove High School is a member of the Golden Grove Secondary School Campus – a consortium of three schools, public and private. Our partners are Gleeson College and Pedare Christian College. Whilst each school is independent of each other, we all access the Campus “Shared Facilities” and collaborate to offer students in Year 11 and Year 12 access to an extensive range of SACE subjects and VET courses.

Our school is a “Centre of Excellence” in the Arts. We are a special interest Dance school with students being offered a place in the program through an application, audition and interview process. Our school has a proud sporting history and we have won a range of state level competitions over many years. We offer special interest sport programs in Touch Football and AFL for Girls. Places in these programs are offered via selection trials conducted in our feeder primary schools in term 3 or the year prior to commencement.

Students with academic gifts and talents are catered for through the Excel program. There is a growing number of lunchtime clubs available for students to pursue their passions and interests with like-minded peers.

If you want more information about the educational opportunities available to your child(ren) please book in for one of our regular Principal led school tours (to book a School Tour click here). I look forward to meeting you and your family.
